Jan’s (not yet) World Famous
CRAZY CAKE

3 cups Flour 2 cups sugar ½ cup cocoa 2 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon salt |
¾ cup oil 2 tablespoons vinegar 2 tablespoons vanilla 2 cups water |

Mix dry ingredients, spoon to
sides with a hole in the center of pan; add wet ingredients and mix
well. Pour into a 9 x 13 inch
pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or
until done; toothpick comes out clean. Frosting: ½ cup butter (1 stick) 1 cup creamy peanut butter 4 cups confectioners sugar 1/3 cup cream DIRECTIONS: In a large bowl, beat butter
and peanut butter until light and fluffy.
Slowly beat in ½ of the confectioners
sugar. Mix in ¼ cup of cream. Beat in the remaining confectioners
sugar. If necessary, add a little more
cream or milk until the frosting reaches a good spreading consistency. Makes enough to frost one 2 layer 9 inch
cake or one 9 x 13 inch cake. |
